SENOIA, GA -- With only one more race remaining in the Viper Series for Pro Late Models at South Alabama Speedway this season, Bubba Pollard of Senoia, Georgia has already clinched the 2009 Viper Series Championship and he's looking to make it a sweep this Saturday evening in the Cottonmouth 100. Pollard has won all six previous Viper Series races. "Since we've already clinched the championship, we're going to try out some new set ups on the car to get prepared for the Alabama 200 and the Triple Crown coming up at South Alabama," said Pollard.
Pollard is coming off a 15th place finish at Lanier National Speedway in a Georgia Asphalt Series event. "We were running 6th and had a flat under green aroud lap sixty and weren't able to recover," added Pollard. This was the second start in the GAS Series for the Pitboxes.com/HRI/Ronnie Sanders Motorsports Chevrolet Impala in 2009.
This Saturday's Cottonmouth 100 at South Alabama Speedway will begin at 7PM. South Alabama Speedway is located between the cities of Opp and Kinston on Alabama Highway 52.
