If you’re wondering where Victory Lane is at Kern County Raceway, just ask Bubba Pollard. The Senoia, GA driver inked his name on the trophy for the last two Winter Showdown races and goes for his third straight this weekend. However, with big names on the entry list and a hefty payday up for grabs, the veteran driver knows netting the hat trick won’t be easy.
Bubba Pollard opened his 2017 season in winning fashion, parking his No. 26 machine in Victory Lane for the Red Eye 100 earlier this month. Now the Senoia, GA driver looks to go back to back to start the year and back to back at SpeedFest.
The twenty-nine-year-old driver enters the ARCA/CRA Super Series SpeedFest 200 as one of the hottest in the country. He’s won three of his last four races, all with his brand new Senneker Performance chassis.
Bubba Pollard earned his third win in as many months when he took the checkered flag in the Red Eye 100 Saturday night at New Smyrna Speedway (FL).
The Senoia, GA driver qualified third, but never raced outside of the top two all night.
Pollard led the first 16 laps before relinquishing the lead to Brad May. But the 29-year-old driver held steady in the second spot, then made his move with 20 laps to go to retake the top spot and pull into Victory Lane for the first Super Late Model race of 2016.
